Workshop Controller

The primary role of the Workshop Supervisor is to organize and assign the daily workload to the service technicians in the Service Department, ensuring that the required work is done in a timely and efficient manner in keeping with the standards of the dealer as well as ATL Automotive Limited.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Convene regular meetings with the Technicians.
Place repair orders in the job rack.
Allocate work timeously.
Load the repair order to the Technician on CDK.
Evaluate the workload for the day and distribute the work accordingly and efficiently.
Constant communication with Service Advisors to ensure upselling is authorized in a timely manner and updates on work in progress received/given.
Closely monitor the CDK to ensure the Technician is executing the job as assigned.
Closely monitor requisitions for parts to ensure the order is accurate.
Ensure that all documentation is properly completed after the repair to the motor vehicle is executed, and completed work orders are returned to Service Advisors timeously.
Monitor and organize the workshop to facilitate the smooth, timeous workflow process.
Prepare and submit reports for the Aftersales Manager as required.
Timeously update work in progress on the relevant DMS.
Monitor and order the relevant workshop consumables required.
Ensure optimal fix right first time.
Ensure Technicians timely and efficiently finish designated work.
Ensure workshop and yard housekeeping is in order.

Qualification and Experience Required:

Tertiary Level Qualification/JAGAS/Heart Certification.
Minimum 5 CXC subjects, inclusive of Mathematics and English.
At least 3 years’ experience working at a supervisory level in the automotive industry.
