Roving Photographer 

The Roving Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality photographs of guests throughout the attraction, creating memorable experiences while delivering exceptional customer service. This role combines photography, guest engagement, and sales by encouraging guests to purchase professional souvenir photographs. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and skilled in action and lifestyle photography, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced tourism environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality photographs of guests at designated locations and throughout the attraction.
  • Engage guests in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner to create a memorable experience.
  • Promote and assist with the sale of printed and digital photo packages.
  • Operate and maintain camera equipment and accessories in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform basic photo editing to ensure images meet quality expectations.
  • Upload, organize, and manage digital photographs using the company's photo management systems.
  • Ensure all photography equipment is properly maintained, stored, and reported for servicing when necessary.
  • Provide guests with information regarding photography products and services.
  • Meet individual and team sales and customer service objectives.
  • Follow company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with other photography or guest service duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the attraction.
  • Ability to carry and operate photography equipment throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout different guest areas.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in action, lifestyle, or tourism photography is required.
  • Working knowledge of DSLR, mirrorless, or professional camera equipment.
  • Basic photo editing skills using photography software.
  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with digital photo management systems.
  • Experience within the tourism, attractions, hospitality, or events industry is considered an asset.
