Bar Supervisor
Under the general supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day Bar Operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Bars.
  • Assign and delegate duties/responsibilities of supervisees.     
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of effective control of all the Bar products and labor costs.
  • Evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of the personnel in the Bar Department. 
  • Plan and administer training and development program for the Bar staff.
  • Review all Bars requisitions daily.
  • Ensure that all Bar staff completes par stocks twice daily to ensure proper controls and opening & closing inventories.
  • Carry out weekly bar inspections and prepare and submit reports to the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure proper control of circulating inventories.
  • Ensure that all Bar facilities and equipment are maintained.
  • Ensure that all Bar opening & closing times are adhered to within the time frame designated to our curators.
  • Ensure that breakage and losses of glassware are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure that proper circulating inventory counts are completed on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Assist in establishing and achieving pre-determined profit objectives and maintaining, high standards with regard to beverages, service, and cleanliness.
  • Assist with the creation of attractive Bar menu presentations and menu designs.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of each operation whilst constantly striving to upgrade the service to assist in providing the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the team to whom you report.
Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or equivalent from an accredited training institution.
  • Certificate in Food and Beverage Bar Service.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position, preferably in a Hospitality environment.

  • Sound knowledge of the Hotel’s operations and services.
  • General Knowledge of the Hospitality sector, products and services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
