Supplements Officer

This role coordinates the design and layout of supplement pages and publications in preparation for output to film and press.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Paginate all special advertising.
Produce well-written and accurate stories and articles in the supplement publications.
Attend seminars, conferences, and fairs where necessary to collect information for articles.
Conduct interviews either in person or over the telephone.
Generate ideas for supplement publications.
Source images to accompany stories.
Create and build a photo folder.
Prepare commitment forms for all supplements.
Communicate with Advertising and other departments regarding all updates regarding supplements.
Assist with the solicitation of client features.
Other duties as assigned by the Advertising Manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Two (2 ) years of experience in Graphic Design and/or experience in the printing industry.
Diploma in visual communications /graphic design from a recognized tertiary institution.
Proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign, QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
Must be able to translate concepts into design.
Able to conduct quality interviews either in person or over the phone and produce quality articles.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Able to work under pressure.
