Tint Technician

The Tint Technician is responsible for applying tinting films to all vehicles assigned/sold by ATL Automotive Limited.

Task Breakdown:

Consult with the supervisor to understand their window tinting requirements.
Prepare vehicle windows for tint application.
Cut and shape window tint film to fit each window precisely.
Apply window tint film on vehicle windows and or windscreen visors tint, ensuring no bubbles or imperfections.
Use heat guns and other tools to secure the window tint film and ensure it adheres properly.
Inspect completed work for quality and customer satisfaction.
Clean up the working area after each job, disposing of used materials properly.
Keep track of inventory and order supplies when necessary.
Comply with company regulations and safety standards while performing tinting services.
Apply window tints to units at other ATL locations once required.

Competencies:

Technical skills and knowledge to apply window film accurately and efficiently to a variety of vehicle windows.
Precision and attention to detail to ensure the tint job is clean, seamless, and meets the customer’s specifications.
Knowledge of different types of window film, their applications, and the benefits of each to provide the best options for customers.
Ability to use specialized tools and equipment for window tinting, such as squeegees, knives, and heat guns.
Physical ability to stand for long periods
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, customers, understand requirements, and provide a satisfactory service experience.
Problem-solving skills to identify issues with window tint application and find appropriate solutions.
Understanding safety regulations for window tinting to ensure compliance.
Customer service skills to resolve complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualification and Experience:

At least 2 yrs of experience in a similar capacity.
Must have at least completed Secondary Education.
Minimum 3 CSEC/CXC subjects, including a numerical subject, would be an asset.
Must have Certification in the field.
Must be pleasant, courteous, with the right attitude.
Must be a team player.
Must have excellent time management skills.
Must have a driver’s license.
