Regional Finance Manager
The Regional Finance Manager is responsible for supporting financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls across the locations for Car Rental - EHI, ATL Automotive Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.Reporting to the Group Financial Director, the Finance Manager plays a key role in managing the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely reporting, strengthening controls, and partnering with operational leadership to drive business performance.
Core Responsibilities:
Finance and Reporting Function
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with established standards and timeframes of submission. Also, ensure all accounting processes at each site are properly managed.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for all financial processes.
- Conduct regular financial reviews, providing detailed explanations or commentary on variances, trends, and key performance metrics.
- Ensure timely submission of Business Performance Report with all Head of Business/GM with explanation for variances compared to budget.
- Maintain strong balance sheet controls, including reconciliations, account reviews, provisions, and ageing reports.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal timelines.
- Ensure accurate fixed asset management, including additions, depreciation, disposals, CIP and periodic verification conducted annually on an as-needed basis.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and taxation requirements, including timely filings and payments.
- Provide all necessary supporting documentation for external audits and ensure timely preparation and responsiveness to auditor requests.
- Ensure internal audits are conducted satisfactorily, with findings addressed promptly, recommendations implemented, and processes improved to maintain audit readiness.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures required to ensure data protection at the highest standards.
- Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly reporting information is accurate and is submitted within the applicable deadline.
- Ensure the submission of accurate and timely inventory reports.
- Oversee inventory management for vehicles, parts, and accessories; ensure accurate valuations, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements.
- Oversee inventory controls, including stock counts, cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations.
- Oversee aged, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory and collaborate with the Parts department to implement corrective actions.
- Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely statutory filings; maintain payroll controls.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll policies, compensation structures, and employee classifications are correctly applied.
- Support Group Treasury operations, ensuring strong cash flow management and liquidity.
- Review of all cash flow reports and projections (daily, weekly, 8-week, and annual) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and incorporation of all necessary operational and financial inputs
- Ensure collection targets are met in line with annual objectives; implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely payments and compliance with negotiated terms.
- Maintain strong banking relationships; ensure timely submission of required financial information.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely invoices, accurate recording, and collection of all customer balances.
- Monitor ageing of receivables and implement strategies to minimize overdue balances.
- Coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve billing disputes or reconciliation issues.
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Ensure proper approvals, recording, and reporting of payables in compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Oversee daily banking and cash reporting, ensuring timely treasury decisions and actions.
- Support budget input from the operations teams and verify veracity of their input.
- Ensure the expenses and financing lines of the budget have been prepared in accordance with agreed upon increases and takes into account changes within the business.
- Support the Group’s strategic annual planning process with financial insights, scenario analyses, and modelling, including commentary on underlying assumptions.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team; conduct regular performance evaluations with clear goals and development plans.
- Set and monitor KPIs for all finance managers and team members.
- Promote strong values, behaviour, and teamwork across the finance function. Have an excellent and respectful working relationship with the Automotive Group Managers/Directors for seamless and efficient operation of dealerships.
- Have an excellent working relationship with support departments such as Operations, Marketing and PR, Human Resources, IT Operations, Facilities and Security for execution of strategies as mandated.
- Establish and maintain an excellent all-round relationship with manufacturers’ representatives/personnel.
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required:
- Master’s degree in accounting or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience and ability to perform key activities and duties with at least 3-5 years senior finance management or Financial Controller.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and fixed asset management
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel or financial software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team, set KPIs, and manage cross-functional relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to provide insights to support strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Time Management & Deadline Orientation: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and consistently meet critical financial, operational, and reporting deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
