Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu.
  • Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items on time.
  • Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the team to whom you report.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Level Two (2) Certificate in Food Preparation or equivalent for an accredited training institution.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar capacity or comparative position.
  • Clean Police Record.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
Specific Skills and Competences Required
  • Good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to foster harmonious relations.
  • Professionalism and integrity at the highest level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, task management, and customer service skills.
Specific Knowledge Required
  • Knowledge of food service regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
