The Enterprise By IR- Senior Accountant
OVERVIEW
The Enterprise by IR Limited is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven accounting professional who is not only technically proficient but also capable of operating as a true business partner within the organisation.
The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated expertise in end-to-end accounting operations, a sharp eye for financial controls, and the confidence to engage directly with operational stakeholders across all levels of the business. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial data, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing timely, accurate reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
KEY DUTIES
- Manage and maintain the full accounts function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and process accurate accounting entries through to Trial Balance, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, identifying areas of risk and implementing corrective measures proactively.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and intercompany transactions.
- Engage with operational departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Utilise QuickBooks to manage the company's accounting records, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns, and compliance submissions.
- Continuously review and recommend improvements to financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) is recommended
- Minimum of 5 years' progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead accounting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, including transaction processing, reconciliation, and financial report generation.
- Proven experience in accounting up to Trial Balance, with a thorough understanding of the full accounting cycle.
- Solid track record in financial reporting, including the preparation of management accounts.
- Strong working knowledge of internal controls, financial compliance, and audit preparation.
- Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and providing financial insights at an operational level.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
