Laundry Supervisor

Supervise processing and distribution of linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To supervise the day-to-day operation of the laundry.
To check the quality of processed guest laundry and dry-cleaning work to ensure optimum quality of work.
Supervise the cleanliness of laundry and its equipment.
Supervise the appearance and conduct of staff while on duty.
Eliminate work hazards in the work environment by maintaining safety standards.
Ensure washing formula, methods, and procedures are maintained.
Conduct regular staff appraisal.
Responsible for rotating staff within all sections of the laundry to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
Responsible for the training of the new employees and conducting regular training within the department.
Capable of performing all laundry functions to provide support when required.
Responsible for ensuring daily production is recorded for analysis and future planning.
Complete monthly laundry report.

Qualification and Experience Required:

BSc. in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a similar field.
An advanced diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
One (1) or more years’ experience in a similar role.

Thorough knowledge of the Hospitality sector, products, and services.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Excellent time and stress management skills.
Analytical and strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent customer relations and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at the highest level.
Teamwork-oriented.
Self-motivated and result-oriented approach to work.

Specific Knowledge Required:

Knowledgeable of the Hotel’s operations and services.
