Senior Accountant

Caribbean Coffee Baristas Limited (CCBL) is searching for a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior General Accountant to lead our finance team. As a Senior General Accountant, you will oversee various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for leadership and strategic input within our organization.

Key Deliverables & Performance Indicators:
The below highlights key deliverables critical for the performance of the role. Performance reviews will be scheduled, based on agreement of metrics required from period-to-period.

Financial Management: Supervise and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide business decisions.
Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage audits; ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operations.
Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff; provide training and guidance as needed.
Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management based on analysis and interpretation of financial data.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders.
Ethical Standards: Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality of financial information.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational goals and objectives.

Competencies:

Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of financial reporting requirements.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders.

Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational goals and objectives.
Medium or higher competence in reading and writing Spanish.
